Your accommodation  and sightseeing will be pre-arranged as well as a detailed trip dossier be provided, (including maps, vouchers etc) all the necessary information for your trip.

Day 1: Arrival in Athens International Airport and Drive to Delphi
It is recommended that you arrive in Athens early in the morning, so that you have plenty of daylight for your drive of approx 3 hours to Delphi. You will need to consider that it will take you at least one hour to complete the paperwork at the airport. To help you, you will be met by a Tour Leader. After completion of the paperwork (car check-out, vouchers, maps and trip folder) you can drive directly to the national road and arrive in Delphi where you will spend the first night. Athens-Delphi: 160 km. A suggested stop at the mountain village of Arachova and also visit the monastery of Osios Loucas, one of the best samples of Byzantine Art. Since 1400, Arachova was famed for its traditional textiles, olive groves and vineyards from which a fine dark wine is produced. Today, the women of Arachova continue the tradition of the famous Arachovian handmade textiles, using looms - traditional weaving machinery - and natural stain colours. Savouries based on local recipes such as: marmalades, sweets, drinks chilotpitas, trahana and many others, are made by women in the traditional way of preparation. Arachova is also a great place to shop for the locally produced brightly coloured shoulder bags and rugs. Overnight in a local hotel in Delphi.

Day 2: Drive to Nafpaktos
After breakfast it is recommended that you visit the archaeological site of Delphi, the centre of the world for the ancient Greeks, and its unique museum, together with a professional guide who will explain all about its history. Then take the road to the fishing port of Nafpaktos. On the way, a stop at the picturesque fishing village of Galaxidi. From this point the drive takes you through a wild mountain range with dramatic scenes and unspoiled villages. The road brings you into the heart of the county Nafpaktia, in the villages of Ano Chora or Elatou. Delphi-Nafpaktos: 93 km, Nafpaktos-Ano Chora: 48 km. Overnight in a guesthouse in Elatou or Ano Chora village.

Day 3: Drive to Karpenissi
An asphalt road leads you to the small town of Thermo. From here, you may either choose to take the asphalt road to Agrinio town and then to Karpenissi or alternatively, the straight road up to Mt. Panaitoliko. The highest point you reach is approximately 2,000 m in a deep pine forest. From now you are in Evrytania, the most remote area in southern Europe. The dirt road ends in the village of Proussos with its monastery hanging from the cliffs. Via roads with breathtaking views you reach one of the villages in the Evrytania region. Ano Chora-Thermo 67 km, Thermo-Karpenissi 60 km. Overnight in a traditional guesthouse in a small village in the mountains.

Day 4: Horse riding in Koryshades
Just 5 minutes drive from Koryshades village you will come across Saloon – the horse riding centre of the region. A guide will be waiting for you at a pre-arranged time to ride with you along the Karpenisiotis valley for about one hour. Overnight in a traditional guesthouse in a small village in the mountains.

Day 5: Trekking at the dramatical Monasteries of Meteora
Continue to Kastraki, lying under the huge rocks of Meteora. These are gigantic rocks etched by time into a variety of shapes, grey stalagmites rising towards the sky, they appear as nature’s gift to the pious that driven by fate have opted for solitude and a life of worship. Visit the two famous monasteries of Meteora which precariously hang over the sinister abyss, composing of one of the most breathtaking sights on earth. A guide will meet you in the hotel lobby (exact time to be confirmed by Tour Leader) and set off for your one-day discovery of Meteora and its monasteries. On this day there will be plenty of walking and some will be steep and at high levels, so please advise in advance if you are not comfortable with heights. The guide will arrange for a traditional picnic lunch. Overnight in a charming guesthouse in Kastraki Village, the nearest village at the foot of the Meteora Monasteries.

Day 6: Canoeing in Lake Plastira
